My wife and I, along with our four children, are full-time missionaries, dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission. We believe in Jesus Christ. We work primarily in the area of supporting translation of the Holy Bible for people who don’t yet have it in their heart language. You may want to read our current newsletter or past newsletters using the free Adobe Acrobat reader. We also have a Papua New Guinea picture gallery and a picture gallery with photos from Papua New Guinea and other places we have traveled. You can print out our prayer card and put it on your refrigerator. If you have lots of patience and/or a broadband Internet connection, then you might enjoy our 2-minute slide show. (That same video is available in a zipped ISO image that can be burned to a DVD for playing on a regular DVD player as well as on a computer.) We have a mailing list for our partners who like to get regular updates and pictures, and a light-weight text-only email list for people who have slow and expensive email connections. Email us if you want to be on either of those mailing lists. Michael also has a blog.

Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Therefore go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. -- Matthew 28:18-10 (WEB)

Our vision is to help fulfill the Great Commission by contributing to the monumental task of making the written Word of God available to every people group in their own language. This is a monumental task, because of the more than 6,800 living languages spoken today, only about a third of them have even one book of the Holy Bible written in their own language. How can you really effectively make disciples of Jesus Christ without a Bible that they can understand? I am using my software development and linguistic skills to make the work of Bible translators all over the world more productive. Lori is working as a teacher at Ukarumpa International School, which helps free Bible translators to concentrate on their Bible translations instead of home schooling, without compromising the quality of their children's education. Thes things help make the Word of God available sooner to more people in their own languages. Because of the unique nature of the software development work that I do, I work both with other software developers in the United States and with Bible translators at field locations. For more information, please see our newsletters. For people with broadband connections and/or lots of patience, we have a PowerPoint presentation.

I also work on the World English Bible part time. Unlike most modern English Bible translations, this translation is not copyrighted, and may be copied freely without payment to me or anyone else. Rainbow Missions, Inc, which we lead, underwrites the cost of publishing this Bible freely on the Internet.

We receive no regular salary. Instead, we rely on the prayer and financial support of people like you, not only for our own living and travel expenses, but for ministry and project expenses. To find out how to better pray for us, please read our newsletters. If you send us your email address and request ministry updates, we also let you know more specifically what we are up to and how you can pray for us, as well as how we are praying for you. If the Lord lays it on your heart to cheerfully partner with us financially, then you may mail a check or money order.

Our main email address used to be mpj@eBible.org, but we no longer read all email to that address because of the flood of junk mail. It just wasted too much time to try to find good email in that mess. A working email address to reach us for personal email is what you get when you replace “mpj” with “Kahunapule” in our old email address. We don’t spell it out plainly on any web page or other public posting (and ask you to also not do so) so that spambots and viruses don’t harvest our new email address and flood it too. For private and/or authenticated email, I use Gnu Privacy Guard. Another way to get a message to us in a way that is more secure than regular email is to use our web contact form.
